Als kuerzlich jemand im Schweizer Fernsehen den Vorschlag gemacht hat, einen verurteilten Mehrfachvergewaltiger, der nach Verbuessung von noch nicht einmal einem Drittel seiner Haftstrafe auf dem Weg zur Reittherapie (!) seine ihn alleine begleitende Therapeutin mit einem aus dem Gefaengnis bestellten Messer brutal ermordete, zu kastrieren.... hat sich prompt und empoert AI in den Medien gemeldet und protestiert - denn "jeder Mensch haette das Recht auf koerperliche Unversehrtheit".

Hat nichts mit Libyen zu tun. Hat mir aber klar gezeigt, was AI so fuer ein Verein ist.

Armed men have shut down a gas facility in the mountainous western region of the country, predominantly inhabited by members of Libya's Berber minority - also called Amazigh. The facility taken by the gunmen is near the town of Nalut.

Ob Folter oder Angriffe auf Botschaften. Libyen versinkt in Gewalt und befindet sich mitten im politischen Verfall.

Der Westen feiert den "humanitären Kriegseinsatz" als überragenden Erfolg im Kampf gegen das Despotentum und für die Demokratie. Meines Erachtens ging es Libyen noch nie so schlecht wie heute. Unter Gadaffi, der für seine Alkohol-/Koks- und Sexexzesse bekannt war und dessen Hang zum "Aussergewöhnlichen" legendär war, gab es diese Form von Gewalt und nicht. Auch wenn in den Gefängnissen gefoltert wurde und Regimegegner nichts zu lachen hatten, gab es für das Land wenigstens eine Zukunft, die ich derzeit nicht erkenne. In welchen Ländern hat sich der Westen bisher eingemischt und welche dieser Länder befinden sich nun im Frieden und sind "demokratisiert"? Mir fällt jetzt spontan kein Land ein.

Die Tageszeitung Junge Welt sieht die Situation in Libyen ähnlich kritisch.

Am Freitag wurden zwei Polizeistationen Opfer von Bombenanschlägen. Diese Polizeistationen wurden in der Vergangenheit schon mehrfach angegriffen.

Police stations in Benghazi attacked

Two police stations were bombed in Benghazi today in what is being seen linked attack.

Sabri police station was attacked at around 4.30 am. Three and a half hours later, a bomber went off at Birkah police station – the fifth time it has been attacked this year. In both cases, there was damage to the buildings but, fortunately, there were no casualties.

Birkah station was last attacked in July, when substantial damage was done.

There have been a mumber of attacks and killings of individuals in the Sabri district but the police station has until now not been affected.

Gunmen have attacked a military checkpoint south-east of the Libyan capital Tripoli killing 15 soldiers, the authorities say. A military official said the attack was near Bani Walid, a stronghold in 2011 of supporters of former leader, Muammar Gaddafi. Several more soldiers were injured in the incident ...

Der Angriff auf den Checkpoint bei Bani Walid könnte im Zusammenhang mit der Ergreifung des Al-Kaida Terroristen Abu Anas al Libi gestanden haben:

The capture of Abu Anas also coincided with a fierce gunfight that killed 15 Libyan soldiers at a checkpoint in a neighborhood southeast of Tripoli, near the traditional home of Abu Anas’s clan. A spokesman for the Libyan Army general staff, Col. Ali Sheikhi, said five cars full of armed men in masks pulled up at the army checkpoint at 6:15 a.m. and opened fire at point-blank range. It was not clear if the assault at the checkpoint was related to the capture of Abu Anas or his removal from Libya.

A car bomb has exploded outside the Swedish consulate in Libya's second largest city of Benghazi, with no reported casualties, officials say. The front of the building and nearby houses were damaged in the attack in the upscale district of Fuwayhat. In Libyen wurden wieder Ägypter entführt. Dieses Mal wurden LKW Fahrer Opfer einer Entführung. Ein Mann, der sich selbst Ahmed nennt teilte per Telefon mit, dass sich in seiner Hand 80 Menschen befinden. Er drohte die Geiseln zu töten und weitere Ägypter als Geisel zu nehmen, wenn Ägypten libysche Gefangene nicht frei gibt.

Rival Libyan militias have clashed in the capital, Tripoli, with heavy gunfire and grenade blasts heard in several parts of the city. At least 10 people are been reported injured. An unconfirmed report says one person has been killed. One militia is said to be loosely linked to the interior ministry. It has been blamed for the killing of a rival militia leader from Misrata on Monday and has come under attack in retaliation for his death.
