Help for a person with a tropical disease
Good afternoon,
I am writing on behalf of Samira (nick name), a German lady of 54 years old who is very sick since she got the Loa Loa parasite in 2012. When the sympthoms started to show up 2 years later (convulsions, swellings of the face, urticaria, eye problems, etc) and she saw the worn crossing the nose, she took inmediatly a plane from Egypt, her residence place since several years, to Germany. But all doctors refused saying that she was making up the sickness as it didnt show up in the blood tests, even when she had a paper from her family doctor (Dr. Muss) in Augsburg who is an expert in tropical diseases saying that she needed to be made a biopsy from the lymphonode system. She was kicked out from hospitals and even stayed for some time in some psychiatrists. She collapsed several times in streets but no one never helped her.
She alleged that doctors knows very well that they have made a mistake but they are afraid to recognise so that she pursuits in law for this enormous medical negligence.
She also tried in England but they deported her from airport.
Come back to Cairo, she tried to reach several times the German embassy but they only took her to a psychiatrist in Cairo where she stayed for a month and they took her medication what causes the sickness worsen. They didnt explain to her why they sent her to a psychiatrist.
She has lost the hope and energies to fight. She can hardly walk, cant see properly, she feels extremely pain, she gets in coma sometimes. She said it means that loa loa has reached her brain and that she probably has also other sickness (leishmaniosis or sleeping sickness).
She is actually in another hospital in Cairo but it seems they will sent her out as nothing appears in blood tests.
She askes me to write in this forum to search for financial support as her pension is not enought to pay a person who takes care of her in Nuweibah (a sea city on the red sea cost of Egypt) and for medication and accomodation. In fact she needs help for the shower, feeding, help her to go places, manage her daily stuff, etc. She welcomes also any financial support that you could offer. Her bank details are: swift code NBEGCX 352
account number 3525000312141800016
National bank of Egypt
She is not able to reply in this forum so please contact to me by this email: matskaf@gmail.com
or directly to her by 0020 10 15 22 41 13.
Thanks you for your support,

If she is German and if she has been in Germany for treatment - why is it impossible to write her Wishes in German by herself ?She welcomes also any financial support that you could offer. Her bank details are: swift code NBEGCX 352

It is very easy to make postings begging for money but how can we be sure that the story is true ?
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loa_loa
German and UK doctors should be able to make diagnostics regarding the lola lola parasite, especially Dr. Muss:
http://www.praxis-dr-muss.de/wordpress/
Please send further details - how can we help *without* sending money ?

am 16.09.2015 hast Du, Martina?, Dich ja schon einmal hilfebedürftig geäussert, in dem Rahmen ging's ja auch um psychiatrische Betreuung in Deutschland.
Wenn es denn plausibel wäre.
Sorry I can't help you.

Re: Help for a person with a tropical disease
Dear samira,
Of course it is not funny, nobody is saying that. I understand, you are desperate, but you also need to understand the people here you are asking for support. You just post an account, where people are supposed to transfer money, without providing details on how much money is required, for what purpose the money is needed and how long you need support.
You cannot expect somebody sending money, not knowing, whether it just will become a black hole, or in how far it will improve your situation.
I belief, some people here are willing to help. But rather than just sending money, not knowing, in which channels it will disappear and I can imagine that some would support more concretely, such as paying a doctor’s bill or a flight back to Germany for medical treatment.
What would be realistic options to change your situation? Why not going back to Germany and use the social security network, rather than staying in Egypt with an uncertain future?
Your respond does not really build trust in you. As you are expecting us understanding your situation, you should understand as well ours.
BTW: I belief it is unfair to say, this is a typical German behavior not to help. Actually the opposite is the case. Many people here are supporting other people. I am born and raised in Augsburg and it is a wonderful city…
Cheers, Alexander

Re: Help for a person with a tropical disease
It would be great, if you could write full sentences, including the information, I requested above. A name would be helpful as well as I assume, there are more people living in this camp making it easier to find and contact you.samira hat geschrieben:nuweiba halla camp
Again, with the limited information, you are providing it becomes inevitable, that you are not getting the help you are seeking for.
Thanks
Alexander

Re: Help for a person with a tropical disease
Hello Martina,
I forwarded all relevant information. However, my contact is currently travelling and will not be able in the short term to make arrangements. You need to be patient. As I am currently travelling in Nigeria, my options are limited as well.
Cheers

Re: Help for a person with a tropical disease
in welchen Abständen tauchen denn diese Anfragen hier auf ?
vor allem: Wenn Du Deutsche bist und den Paß verlierst und wenn Dir die Botschaft nicht hilft ist das erst einmal unglaubwürdig.
