Die Grenze ist nun wohl wieder offen. Aus einer hier eingegangenen mail:
Gyirong Port, the new Sino-Nepal border, finally reopened to International Tourists on Aug. 30th, 2017.
According to latest press conference held by people's government of Tibet Autonomous Region, starting from Aug, 30th, 2017, international tourists with valid travel documents (i.e. “Tibet Travel Permit” and “Group Tourist Visa” that we can help to apply for tourists) can enter Tibet from Nepal or vice versa via Rasuwagadhi and Gyirong Port.
Also das glaub ich erst, wenn der erste die Grenze tatsächlich mit dem Auto durchquert hat. Uns wurde immer wieder gesagt, dass die Grenze im April, Juni, Juli, August 2016 öffnet. Dann blieb sie doch zu und wir mussten 7.000 KM Umweg fahren :D
